Remembering Ocala’s Six Gun Territory

February 6, 2010

OCALA – One of the great pre-Disney attractions of Florida was Six Gun Territory in Ocala. It was a true western town, with regular shootouts, one of which was shown here. There was also a saloon, fair and Mexican cantina. It closed in the 1980s.

We have many ,many fond memories of Six Gun. We were always at our best when we tought we could bribe our parents to take us there, I remember seeing Dan Blocker of “Bonanza” and Timmy Martin of “Lassie” there. Many gunfights can-can girls, and Digger the undertaker. Thank you for keeping the memory of Six Gun alive. Where the heck is White Eagle Ranch?

Got something to say?
