See Bacardi Building In Miami

April 27, 2009

Bacardi BuildingMIAMI – In Miami, the headquarters of Bacardi could be made into a historic landmark.

Bacardi USA will be moving out of the buildings and into a new headquarters in nearby Coral Gables. While the buildings are not yet 50 years old, they could be listed because of historic merit, reports the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Visit them at the corner of Biscayne Boulevard and 21st Street.

Learn more about the history of the building at www.jetsetmodern.com; this picture at left, and other images, are there as well as an appreciation of how important the building is to the identity of Miami and Miami’s Cuban community.

The Miami Herald has an article on the preservation effort at MiamiHerald.com.
