LISA PERRY OPENS PALM BEACH BOUTIQUE
January 12, 2009
PALM BEACH – Designer Lisa Perry has opened a boutique in Palm Beach. It’s called the Lisa Perry Pop-up Shop, and it sells Perry’s designs, which are intrinsically modern but harken back to the Pucci/Marimekko era.
Perry, according to her bio, is a lover of all things “mod and modern since childhood. Lisa grew up in the suburbs of Chicago with Marimekko in her bedroom, a Saarinen-filled living room and two-tone orange shag in her family room.”
Says Simon Doonan in the New York Observer, “The relentlessly upbeat vision of La Perry seems right for the times. I can guarantee you tht te can-do gal in the grpahic fuschia Perry shift and the Lucite kittin heels will fare better in 2009 than the disheveled neo-hippie of the last few season.”
